Acceptance of Terms
By connecting SimSense to Claude, creating a SimSense account, or using any part of the SimSense service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use SimSense.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and SimSense, Inc ("SimSense," "we," "us," or "our"). Your use of SimSense is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
SimSense is a connector for Anthropic's Claude AI. Your use of Claude is separately governed by Anthropic's Consumer Terms of Service and Anthropic's Usage Policy. These Terms cover your use of SimSense specifically.
The SimSense Service
SimSense is an ambient display platform that connects Claude to WiFi-enabled screens via the Model Context Protocol (MCP). The service allows you to:
- Register and name display screens associated with your account.
- Instruct Claude (via the SimSense connector) to push content to those screens.
- Install and use skills from the SimSense skill library to automate or schedule content delivery.
SimSense is currently in early beta. Features may change, and some functionality may be unavailable or modified without notice during this period. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes in advance.
Accounts & Eligibility
To use SimSense, you must:
- Be at least 13 years of age (or 16 in the EEA).
- Have a valid Anthropic Claude account.
- Provide accurate and complete registration information.
- Keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
You may not create an account on behalf of another person without authorization, or use SimSense to provide services to others in a way that violates these Terms or Anthropic's policies.
We reserve the right to refuse service, close accounts, or remove access to SimSense at our discretion, including for violations of these Terms or Anthropic's policies.
Claude & Anthropic Compliance
SimSense operates as a connector in the Anthropic Claude ecosystem. By using SimSense, you agree and represent that:
- You will use SimSense in compliance with Anthropic's Usage Policy at all times.
- You will not use SimSense to circumvent, evade, or help others circumvent Claude's safety systems, guardrails, or content policies.
- You will not attempt to extract data from Claude's memory, conversation history, or internal state beyond what SimSense explicitly supports.
- You will not use SimSense to facilitate unauthorized data collection from Claude interactions.
- You understand that Anthropic may remove SimSense from the Claude connector marketplace at any time, which may affect your ability to use the service.
SimSense warrants to Anthropic and to you that: (a) the SimSense software complies with all applicable laws and regulations; (b) SimSense does not violate Anthropic's Usage Policy or Software Directory Policy; and (c) information provided to Anthropic in connection with the connector marketplace is accurate and up-to-date.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use SimSense to:
- Push content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, threatening, or otherwise harmful.
- Violate the intellectual property rights of any third party.
- Distribute malware, spam, or malicious content to any display.
- Conduct financial transactions, cryptocurrency operations, or unauthorized data collection through the connector.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
- Use SimSense in any way that could disable, overburden, or impair our infrastructure.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to SimSense systems, other users' accounts, or connected displays.
- Scrape, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the SimSense source code or underlying systems.
- Use SimSense primarily as an advertising or promotional vehicle for third-party products without disclosure.
We reserve the right to investigate and take action — including suspension or termination of your account — for violations of this acceptable use policy.
Your Data & Content
Ownership: You retain ownership of any content you push to your screens through SimSense. By using SimSense, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, transmit, and display that content solely to provide the service to you.
Data minimization: SimSense collects only the data necessary to operate the display functionality — screen names, URLs, and push history. We do not collect or access the broader content of your Claude conversations. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Your responsibility: You are responsible for ensuring that any content you push to screens complies with applicable law and these Terms. SimSense is a conduit; we are not responsible for the content you choose to display.
Data portability and deletion: You may request an export or deletion of your data at any time. See our Privacy Policy for how to exercise these rights.
Intellectual Property
The SimSense name, logo, website, software, and associated materials are the property of SimSense, Inc and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws. You may not use SimSense's branding or intellectual property without our written permission.
The SimSense skill library content we create is owned by SimSense. Community-contributed skills remain the property of their contributors; by submitting a skill, contributors grant SimSense a license to distribute it within the platform.
"Claude" and related marks are the property of Anthropic, PBC. SimSense is not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic except as a participant in the Claude connector marketplace.
Payments & Free Tier
Free tier: SimSense's Free plan is available at no cost and is intended to remain free permanently. We are committed to always maintaining a meaningful free path to the service.
Paid plans: Pro and Enterprise plans are not yet available. When introduced, paid plans will be governed by additional terms presented at the time of purchase, including pricing, billing cycles, and refund policies.
No hidden charges: We will not charge you without your explicit consent. No credit card is required for the Free plan.
Changes to pricing: If we introduce or change paid pricing, we will provide reasonable advance notice to existing users. We will not retroactively charge for features that were previously free without explicit consent.
Termination
By you: You may close your SimSense account at any time by contacting us at [email protected] or using the account deletion option in your settings. Upon closure, your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy.
By SimSense: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, Anthropic's policies, or applicable law. We will provide notice where reasonably practicable, except where immediate action is required for security or legal reasons.
Effect of termination: Upon termination, your right to use SimSense ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including IP, disclaimers, indemnification, and governing law) will survive.
Disclaimers & Limitations of Liability
Service provided "as is": SimSense is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
Beta disclaimer: SimSense is in early beta. Features may be incomplete, unstable, or change without notice. We recommend not relying on SimSense for mission-critical or safety-critical display purposes during the beta period.
Claude dependency: SimSense's core functionality depends on Anthropic's Claude service. We are not responsible for outages, changes, or limitations in Claude's availability or capabilities.
Limitation of liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, SimSense's total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the service shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid to SimSense in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $50 USD. In no event shall SimSense be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SimSense and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of SimSense in violation of these Terms; (b) content you push to displays through SimSense; or (c) your violation of any applicable law or third-party right.
Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Vermont, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of SimSense shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in Manchester, Vermont, except that either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
Class action waiver: You agree that any dispute resolution will be conducted on an individual basis and not as part of a class action or representative proceeding.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email (if you have an account) and by posting a notice on this page with an updated effective date. If you continue to use SimSense after the changes take effect, you accept the revised Terms.
We will not apply material changes retroactively. For changes that materially reduce your rights, we will provide at least 30 days' notice before they take effect.
